Dear friend,

The results of the Spring Food and Fun Drive are in! Between March and May of this year, our community collectively raised $18,524 in funds and 3,784 pounds of food to fight hunger in Northwest and Downtown Portland. That’s the equivalent of 55,599 meals for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity!

A huge thank you to all of the neighbors and community partners who participated:

A special thank you to Fifty Licks Ice Cream for partnering with us on Thursday, April 1st and raising $350 through sales of their Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream.

Hunger Relief Match week with New Seasons Market raised $5,296 for each of the 14 food-access partner organizations in the Portland area for a total of $84,139. Thank you, New Seasons, for your support and partnership!

According to Oregon Food Bank, the economic impacts of COVID-19 have caused hunger in Oregon to nearly double. We expect in the next year 1 in 4 families will reach out for food assistance. It takes the commitment and support of our whole community to meet this rising need, and we thank all of our Lift UP partners and supporters for helping us feed our neighbors!

Gratefully,

The Lift UP Team
