Urge State Leaders to Support Funding for the Ridge Trail!

The Governor and the legislature are currently negotiating how to spend a record $75 billion surplus in this year’s State budget. This is a vital opportunity to fund the State Coastal Conservancy (SCC), which supports projects up and down the state that address sea level rise, wildfire, access to outdoors, parks and trails, and more.

The Ridge Trail, along with many Bay Area parks and open space districts, depend on funding from the SCC’s SF Bay Program, which will otherwise run out of funds this year.

Please join us in urging state leaders to support the proposed $3.675 billion for climate resilience, including $700 million for the SCC and $100 million for SF Bay Program. Read and sign our letter here.

Partner Feature: Carquinez Strait Scenic Loop Trail Working Group

How do we build trails in our most challenging gaps? By putting our heads together with local partners! The Carquinez Strait Scenic Loop Trail Working Group is a partnership between four regional trails - the Ridge Trail, Bay Trail, SF Water Trail, and Delta Trail and two local jurisdictions, the City of Benicia and Contra Costa County.

Together, we work to close the 9 remaining gaps on the Carquinez Strait Scenic Loop Trail (CSSLT) including exciting projects like the Vallejo Bluffs Trail and the Crockett Blvd trail connection. Thank you to our excellent partners and all the work they do on the Carquinez Strait! Learn more about the CSSLT here.
