Join Professor Toby Walsh, Chief Scientist at UNSW's AI Institute and author of Machines Behaving Badly, for a thought-provoking discussion on the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence.

Join Professor Susan Hespos to learn about the impact of screen time on child development. Professor Hespos is the Developmental Psychologist and leader of BabyLab at The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development,

Dr Belinda Dunstan: Creative Robotics

Join Dr Belinda J Dunstan, academic at UNSW, to learn about social robotics. Dr Dunstan is the Human Futures Lead for the UNSW Creative Robotics Lab and is the lead editor on Cultural Robotics: Social Robotics and their Emergent Cultural Ecologies, which examines the impact of culture on the design and applications of robots.

Philip Mallon: Internet of Things

Join STEM expert Philip Mallon and the talented participants from STEM Club at Parramatta Library, who will present their creative projects. IDEAS Lab

The IDEAS Lab (formally known as Studio 101) is a space where you can 'Imagine, Discover, Experience, Act & Succeed'. It's a creative library space at Parramatta Library at PHIVE, for you to experience virtual reality, 3D printing, STEM, sewing and much more.

 

Life Stories: Writing a Memoir & Biography

Join Parramatta Library's History and Heritage Team for these memoir and biography writing. In these workshops, designed for seniors, you will learn creative skills to write your personal narrative, and will receive an introduction to the resources available at the library. These resources include the reference section, local history, family heritage, and research services such as Ancestry.com. The workshops will be held at four library locations.

 

Macramé Plant Hanger Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn the skills needed to your very own macramé plant hanger. Just bring a plant pot to ensure the hanger fits in properly, and you will be able to take your plant hanger home after the workshop.
