To those of you who are new to the IIC – welcome! I very much hope to see you at more of our events around the world in the future. The Week opened with the International Regulators’ Forum (IRF), kindly hosted by Ofcom in the historic venue of Skinners’ Hall, attended by 120 senior regulators from around the world. In addition to the IRF, the Small Nations Regulators’ Forum held its annual in-person meeting, and an invitation-only workshop brought senior regulators and our partner members together to discuss priorities for international policy cooperation and collaboration. This was followed by our 50th Annual Conference in County Hall, where we welcomed over 240 participants from industry, academia, civil society and more, all adding their unique perspectives to the debate. One of the highlights of the Week was listening to Future Leaders’ Competition winner, Angel Fu, present her winning entry, entitled Playing Fair in the Platforms Playground - A Case for Regulatory Neutrality and International Cooperation. It was inspiring to see her speaking to such a packed room and attentive audience. As always, our newsletter contains a roundup of the latest news, including from our Chapters, industry updates and highlights from around the regulatory world. If you have a colleague whom you think would benefit from connecting with us, we appreciate you passing this on, and we look forward to welcoming you to one of our events soon.
