Next time - Astronomy in the City
Anyone living in or close to big population centres knows they come with a big downside - light pollution. It harms the wildlife that lives close by and impacts our health by disturbing our sleep. From an astronomy point of view, it fills the night with sky-glow and robs us of the wonders swirling above our heads.
We've talked about light pollution in previous issues. However, there are ways to help reduce it effects slightly when observing. We'll cover what filter and accessories work and what objects are best viewed from city and suburban locations.
