Learn to complete 4 set of machine appliqué motifs. Instructions will cover correct sewing machine adjustment, and fabric preparation, cutting, sewing and trimming techniques to achieve great results.

Winter Camp with Kim

Join Kim on Thursdays or Saturdays! $25 covers 4 meetings: once a month in January, February, March, and April and you will create this quilt in one of three sizes. You can make this scrappy or planned, whatever you love!

Zen Chic has created a modern Block of the Month to die for, with a few setting options! Sign up for Spotted More Paper, starting in January.

Like traditional quilts? Make several small quilts with Sabrina Thompson in one of two Whatnots Clubs, offered on Tuesday or Saturdays, starting in January.

Craving a different kind of adventure? Join one of Rosi's upcoming Mystery Quilt Clubs! Her quilts are always amazing, and have earned many ribbons in tough competitions. She will have a total of 4 quilt programs in 2019.

We are proud to partner with Carole of From My Carolina Home in her efforts to provide quilts to our NC neighbors who were so profoundly affected by the 2018 hurricanes.

Whether you are making a quilt specifically for this cause, or you have one finished and sitting on a shelf in your home, all quilts welcome. Do you have a completed quilt that you could part with for someone who lost everything?

The latest reports are that over 4500 homes have been totally destroyed and more than 700,000 homes have sustained damage mainly by flooding. As you might guess, we need a lot of quilts. We are asking for twin, full or queen size quilts, as the need is so great that each household can only receive one quilt. Likely most will not receive a quilt at all unless we have a huge response to this project. The project will continue through summer of 2019, so there is plenty of time to make and ship, or drop off a quilt.

Cary Quilting Company is glad to be a drop off site for this generous project.

Looking Ahead

January 2: Our 5th annual UnFinished Objects Club starts! Time to dig out projects to finish in 2019!

January 11 & 12: Quilting and Fiber Arts Marketplace in Sanford, NC: a terrific vendor mall full of goodies, less than an hour away!

January 25 - 27: Studio Art Quilt Associates Trunk Show of over 50 art quilts in our Meeting Center. Hours and curated talks to come.

January 26: Cary Quilting Company celebrates 6 years! Look for Fairy Hair, shop specials, giveaways, and more.

Lo and Behold Trunk Show

We are so excited to have the quilts and patterns from Brittany Lloyd of Lo and Behold Stitchery in the shop! We are hanging her trunk show in our Meeting Center later this week - be sure to check it out!
