JFC Construction Update - Checking in on our community week 3 Karangahape Road Alert Level 4 - Week Three UpdateWe are now at week three of Alert Level 4. There has been a lot of communication and resources around this being shared by different organisations and they are doing a great job in providing us all as much information as possible. This ensures we are all kept up to date and are aware of what is available while we go through this together. We will keep referencing these resources and information during our updates As we have said from the beginning of Alert Level 4, we are closely following Government updates and will resume on site operations when restrictions are lifted. The planning and execution of the next phases are our priority and we are utilising this time to ensure everything is thoroughly considered. During the lockdown, security services provided by the Karangahape Road Business Association (KBA) are continuing and have been increased for the duration. We also continue to closely monitoring our work sites to ensure the area is kept safe and remains accessible for emergency services, vehicles and people. Celebrating our creative community - TautaiTautai has paused their grand opening which was due to take place on 26 March due to Covid 19. In the mean time they have rolled out a Postcards unlocked initiative which is a digital activation featuring 30 artists over 30 days and is focus is to: "Stay creative and stay connected" Click here to read about the work that Tautai do and see some of the programs they are involved with KBA "Lockdown Lowdown""We've been chatting to Karangahape Road businesses to find out how they are doing and what they’ve been up to during Alert Level 4. KBA - Key Information and Essential Businesses
Parking information - Message from AT parking rules/concessions during Alert level 4 On street parking will be free (P30, P60, P120 etc) and will not be enforced. This also applies to the casual parking facility on Upper Queen Street (opposite Canada Street). There is to be no parking on special vehicle lanes: Bus lanes, and T3 lanes. This ensures public transport and emergency services can move freely. Parking and Transport compliance staff are playing their part in making things safe and their role is considered an essential service under the Government's restrictions.
