Interos Inc., an Arlington Va.-based cyber startup focused on supply chains raised a Series C financing of $100 million led by venture firm NightDragon. Investors including Kleiner Perkins and Venrock also participated in the deal. The financing brings Interos’ valuation to over $1 billion.
UVeye Inc., an Israel-based supplier of vehicle inspection systems for the auto industry, raised $60 million in Series C funding from investors including CarMax Business Services, W.R. Berkley Corporation and F.I.T. Ventures.
Austin, Texas-based delivery startup Fetch Package Inc., which serves to reduce package-handling by apartment-building staff, raised $50 million in Series C funding. Ocelot Capital led the round and was joined by Greenpoint Partners, Alpaca VC and Rose Park Advisors. Existing investors Iron Gate Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, Venn Ventures, Pando Ventures, and Seamless also participated. In addition to the equity raise, Signature Bank provided a $10 million venture debt facility. Fetch expects to deliver more than 8 million packages by year-end. Previously a board member at ecommerce company Coupang, Matt Christensen, of Rose Park Advisors, will join the Fetch board as an observer.
Accion Systems, a Boston-based developer of satellite propulsion systems for the space industry, landed $42 million in Series C financing, bringing the company’s valuation to $83.5 million. An affiliate of Tracker Capital Management led the round, with Tracker acquiring a majority stake of Accion.
Dwolla Inc., a payments platform, nabbed a $21 million investment. Lead investor Foundry Group was joined by Park West Asset Management, Union Square Ventures, Detroit Venture Partners, Firebrand Ventures and Next Level Ventures in the round.
Slingshot Biosciences, which develops synthetic cells for applications in diagnostics and therapeutics, closed a $23 million Series A financing. Northpond Ventures led the round, which also included ARCH Venture Partners and Anterra Capital. Emeryville, Calif.-based Slingshot said the funding will enable it to accelerate the commercialization of its synthetic-cell products spanning controls, diagnostics and adoptive-cell therapies. Adam Wieschhaus, a director at Northpond, and Corey Ritter, senior associate with ARCH, will join the board.
Hydropower company Natel Energy Inc., based in Alameda, Calif., announced a $20 million funding round led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, with participation by Chevron Technology Ventures, which invested out of its $300 million Future Energy Fund II. Natel makes propeller-style hydro turbines with blades that allow fish to pass safely, the company says.
Fabric8Labs Inc., a San Diego-based additive manufacturing startup, raised a $19.3 million Series A financing round led by Intel Capital with syndicate partners including Lam Capital, TDK Ventures, SE Ventures, Stanley Ventures and Mark Cuban.
Vitally, a customer success platform, raised $9 million in Series A funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with David Ulevitch joining the company’s board.
Bbot Inc., a hospitality technology startup raised $15 million in Series A funding led by CRV.
Adway International Inc., a digital advertising startup, raised $6 million in seed funding from investors including Upfront Ventures, Revel Ventures, Watertower Ventures and Inflection Capital.
Frizata, a direct-to-consumer frozen food company based in Argentina raised $5 million in Series A funding led by SP Ventures.
