A Message From NYLA President Debby Emerson

The New York Library Association (NYLA) is in the process of developing a new strategic plan that will cover the next three years. As the current NYLA president, I am interested in gathering as much information as possible from library workers all around the state to guide the direction of this plan. I hope the document we create will help NYLA continue and grow as a strong professional organization.

NYLA will be holding a series of focus groups in several locations statewide. For the North Country, there will be a group discussion on Friday, May 6th from 11am to 12:30pm at the Northern New York Library Network office in Potsdam.  NNYLN Executive Director John Hammond will facilitate, and I will be in attendance.

A complementary lunch will be served.

Please come and share your thoughts about libraries, NYLA, and professional organizations! This is an important part of our planning process and I look forward to having an opportunity to chat with you.

Please let me know if you’ll be able to attend by registering here.
