Athlete profile: Pip Sutton

UCI Track Cycling World Cup draws widespread praise

It's been a busy time for the Avantidrome! We were lucky enough to host New Zealand's first UCI Track Cycling World Cup in December last year, which was closely followed by the Elite & U19 Track Nationals in February. The events were met with widespread praise. Check out the video below.

 
 
 

Avantidrome to host Jim McMurray's one hour world record attempt

The hour record is considered one of the most torturous challenges; but that hasn't stopped Jim McMurray from getting on the track to attempt to break the world record! Living just 15 minutes from the Avantidrome, it's no surprise McMurray has used the Avantidrome as his training ground and will be attempting the record at the Avantidrome. 

Head down to the Avantidrome on Saturday 19 March at 4:30pm to cheer Jim on.
