Welcome to 2018 and another exciting year at Muresk.
Last year was very eventful with lots of highlights including growth in student numbers and, lots of new initiatives, programs and courses. In 2017, we welcomed 2,193 people through our gates for both full time and short courses.
This year looks to be even more promising with the recent commencement of the Summer School and enquiries coming in across all courses, particularly for the Diploma of Agriculture and the new Emerging Leaders in Agriculture, Technology and Enterprise program. We also have some really exciting new short courses focused on agricultural technologies which will be delivered by industry renowned experts.
We look forward to working with Curtin University as we consolidate planning for the launch of the Associate Degree in Agribusiness to be delivered at Muresk Institute from 2019.
Development on the farm is moving at a great rate with the introduction of new technologies. Research and development preparations are well under way for the Sire Evaluation program with the WA Stud Merino Breeders and a range of cropping trials are also in the works. We have another exciting project that will be launched midyear too. Further details will be provided at a later stage, but I can tell you it will be a great step forward for student learning.
As you can see it’s going to be another big year and we look forward to sharing our progress with you over the coming months.
