No images? Click here IMPORTANT: COVID-19 Update – Restrictions and requirements for all Melbourne employees The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Victoria continues to evolve. We would like to acknowledge and thank each of you for the way you have adapted so well to the challenges during this time. As you will know, yesterday Premier Daniel Andrews announced that due to the ongoing level of community transmission of COVID-19 in Victoria, the current lockdown will be strengthened and extended (including a curfew) in Metropolitan Melbourne, until 11.59pm on Thursday, 2 September. What does this mean for me – Office Staff?In accordance with Victorian Government directions, from 11.59pm Tuesday 17 August, only those Calvary staff who are authorised workers with a permit can attend onsite at the Mt Waverley office. Authorised Worker Permits will be issued during the course of today (17 August). All Calvary employees in Melbourne who are currently working from home must continue to work from home until further notice. If staff require access to the Mt Waverley office, please contact Jane Lajoie to seek approval prior to attending the site. What does this mean for me – Support Worker Staff?In accordance with Victorian Government directions, from 11.59pm Tuesday 17 August, Melbourne based Calvary Support Worker staff who are authorised workers with a permit can continue to provide essential services to our clients. Authorised Worker Permits will be issued during the course of today (17 August). All Support Workers must wear their Calvary uniforms, carry their Calvary photo IDs and authorised worker permits when working.
Staff must not present to work if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, are awaiting COVID-19 test results, have tested positive to COVID-19, or are a close contact of a person who is suspected or has been confirmed as COVID-19 positive, please contact your manager. If you have visited an exposure site, please refer to the information below. Please continue to visit the DHHS website regularly to stay informed of exposure sites within the community. What if I have visited an exposure site?If you have visited an exposure site, please contact the Department of Health at 1300 651 160 and advise your manager immediately. What is an Authorised Worker Permit?The Authorised Worker Permit is a letter that authorises a Calvary employee who has been deemed a permitted worker to travel to the workplace on specific days and times. Eligibility criteria for a Calvary Authorised Worker Permit include:
The Calvary Authorised Worker Permit will permit employees to travel further than 5km from home for work-related tasks only. These tasks include travel to and from work. If you do not have a Calvary Authorised Worker Permit and believe you fit the criteria to be issued one, your Manager must contact Jane Lajoie with relevant employee details. Where can I get more information?If you are not a permitted worker and are required to work from home and have specific concerns that do not involve ICT support (e.g. vulnerabilities regarding health and wellbeing and/or domestic violence), please contact your Manager. If you have any other concerns, please raise them with your Manager in the first instance. We acknowledge that this can be a difficult time for people for a variety of reasons. If you are concerned or are experiencing distress, it is important to reach out to your Manager for support.
