'Like A Hammer' Opens at SAM 'Jeffery Gibson: Like a Hammer' presents a personal and exuberant exhibition of Gibson's original voice. Using native materials and traditions, Gibson evaluates his identity and hisotry as a Native Queer person. The exhibition is available to view until May 12th.

'Self' on display Exhibited at the Frye Museum, multi-disciplinary artist, Tschabalala Self examines intersectionality, womanhood, and pleasure by creating 'avatars' produced from a variety of mediums. Professor Jasmine Mahmoud sat down with Self and discussed her process and inspirations.

Salary Survey in the Arts Sector Supported by Americans for the Arts, the Local Arts Agency Salaries Survey, recently released their findings. With over a thousand survey responses, this tool is helpful to see where funds are lacking and for employment negotiations and transparency.

April Book Club Next month, the Arts Leadership Book Club will come together to discuss Disidentifications: Queers of Color and the Performance of Politics by José Esteban Muñoz. Led by Assistant Professor, Jasmine Mahmoud this book club will have an arts archival component. This event occurs April 29th at 7 PM at Seattle University.
