The need for STEM Curriculum Hack is spawned by an increasing national demand for an integrated STEM curriculum (Education Council, 2015) as well as a growing call for students to experience the relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes required by industry (Office of the Chief Scientist, 2013). STEM Curriculum Hack will draw on the KaosPilot model for designing transformational educational experiences known as 'Vision Backcasting'. This framework will allow participants to articulate a shared vision for a STEM curriculum and problem-based learning strategies and hands-on experiences to co-design a solution.
