Hi there,
WOW, December already… That went quickly. Thank you to everyone that has worked with and alongside The Brownbill Effect this year. It has been a different rollercoaster to the last couple, but a roller coaster none the less. Now it’s time to enjoy Christmas, friends, family, and a holiday. I know I will be, bring on beach time! Charlotte, Eliza, Anne Maree, and Lany (the dog) wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2023. I wonder what the new year has in store. Whatever it throws at us, The Brownbill Effect is ready and here to help you all. And now the sad news, Charlotte has to leave……
Goodbye Charlotte, Hello Eliza
I would personally like to say a huge thankyou to the very wonderful Charlotte Tiong, who has been my Swinburne Graphic Design intern for 2022. Charlotte is not only an absolute delight to have in the office, but is hungry, efficient, and hugely talented. Nothing was ever too much trouble and her designs and ideas in each campaign and project I gave her shone. Charlotte has the innate ability to grasp an idea and run with it, she understands branding and totally got inside the head of what The Brownbill Effects tone of voice and vibrancy was about. I wish her well in the future and know that any studio that employs Charlotte will have an amazing, hardworking, and talented designer in their midst. I shall miss you Charlotte, but we
will always keep in touch, after all I am your work mum as you call me.
I’d also like to introduce our new Swinburne Intern, Eliza Mansfield Lewis. Eliza has been working with us for a month now, whilst Charlotte trains her, and I am really excited about working with her over 2023. Eliza is showing all the right signs of enthusiasm and talent and I can’t wait for you to get to see her designs over the coming 12 months. Welcome Eliza.

"Mum always loved art history & encouraged my creativity. She framed my first ever painting which was of little people going down a drain. As a kid I loved flowers, building leggo houses, doodling, drawing, ceramics, pencils, textas and paint, really anything I could get my hands on. Dad held regular family slide nights on the laundry door that started my love of photography and he was a great photographer himself. Dad discovered that I was a very messy painter, still am, and quickly donated his overalls to save the floor and furniture, which I still wear to this day. I have a studio at home with lots of light and a window to the garden. It is my happy place, and whenever I am not travelling and have time, that’s where you will find me. Painting is an absolute joy, it is peaceful and very personal."
I’m really excited to announce that our refreshed, faster and more fabulous website is now live.

Wedding in Granada, Spain
"It’s a special privilege when you get the opportunity to photograph a wedding in a foreign country, and in such a beautiful location as Granada, Spain. There are certain times when I have to pinch and remind myself that this is a job – I’d happily do it for free. This particular ceremony was held in the old town of Granada, Sacromonte with a stunning rooftop view overlooking Alhambra – an Islamic influenced architectural fortress dating back to the
12th Century. Possibly one of the most enjoyable and memorable shoots I’ve done to date." Credits:

- 1st time droning for a wedding proposal, and a building company.
- 1st time publishing my prints and photographic products on a new IG account: capturing20.cf_aapp. Make sure you follow!"

Every business comes with a different story
"Photography that brings the people and values to the forefront is what I love to do best. I work with small-med enterprises to help take us inside the business and see who's driving it and why they do what they do.
I love that every business comes with a different story and then digging beyond the surface to capture what they offer that's unique. Making things look good is important, but making images that feel authentic and true is really where it's at for me.”

"The Brownbill Effect was instrumental in helping me take the next step in my career. Sally totally reframed my approach, she saw where my strengths lie and helped me hone in on those assets to allow me to put my best foot forward. Sally reinvigorated my confidence and connected me to her vast network, taking the time to really understand who I was and not just finding great opportunities that anyone would be excited to take, but the right ones for me. Sally was supportive throughout and fully invested herself in my success. She operated as a teammate that sustained my momentum and offered sage wisdom through every step and with her help ended up in a fantastic full-time role. She’s the one you want in your corner."
ASHLEIGH TENAGLIA | GRAPHIC DESIGNER
"I have been in contact with Sally for a few years now, and when I reached out to her recently about wanting a new role she really listened to who I am and what I like and took the time to know who I was and what I wanted. So when she simply told me to go have a meeting with my now boss I didn't think twice. She knew me, she knew him and she knew we would get along. I am very happy in my current role and anticipate I will only get happier. Thank you Sally for really paying attention to what I wanted and what I needed."

"I’m originally from London. I ran away with the circus to become an aerial acrobat touring the world for a decade, then an aerial coach and show consultant for another decade. My love of travel and working alongside physically dynamic artists led to a deep passion in capturing these moments with a creative photography practice that celebrates the power and uniqueness of the physical form. I photograph people and places. My portrait work is energetic, vibrant and colourful. Working as a commercial photographer, I have a wide range of clients spanning visual and performing arts companies, tour operators, government, not for profit organisations
and the corporate sector."
What's one talent you'd love to have?
"I’d like to be able to catch. My lack of catching ability is a hilarious cheap laugh for all involved." Bonus question... Other than your work, what do you love to do?
"Travel! I like to visit epic landscapes at not always the best time of year. If you ever go to Iceland during the winter I highly recommend the extra insurance for wind-damaged car door hinges."
