Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board - 31 March 2020

Good morning everyone,

Following the Victorian Premier’s announcement yesterday morning of stage 3 coronavirus (COVID-19) related restrictions across Victoria, we wish to advise that the Victorian alpine resorts of Falls Creek, Lake Mountain, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Mt Stirling will take the following action effective midnight 30 March 2020 and until further notice:

•    all of the resorts’ public BBQ’s, playgrounds, tennis courts and other recreational facilities will be closed.

Everyone at an alpine resort is required to comply with the requirements of social distancing and gatherings of no more than two people (except for members of your immediate household and for work / education).

We remind everyone of the current Victorian Government advice that Victorians must only leave their homes for food and supplies, medical care, exercise, or work and education and that people should not undertake any non-essential travel.

This means that people should not travel to the Victorian alpine resorts for social or recreational purposes or activities such as working bees until further notice.
