You are eligible for Faculty of Management wait-listing if the following conditions are met: * you attempted to register for the course during your initial registration dates • the course is required for your current program (NOTE: second major, minor, concentration, and elective courses are not considered required courses when wait-listing) • it is your final semester -OR- it is your second to last semester and the course is only offered once a year or is a prerequisite to a course needed in your final semester. • you have the required prerequisite(s) and/or corequisite(s) • the wait-listed course fits with your current registration and either does not exceed the 5 course limit or you will indicate a course to be dropped in its place • you are not already registered in the course (NOTE: section preference is not a valid reason to wait-list) • you do not have any cash holds If you are eligible, please follow the online wait-list form link at the bottom of the Wait-List Request webpage once it becomes active. Upcoming Accounting EventFun CPA Event for Accounting Majors and those students considering an accounting career - great networking opportunity and great prizes! Please save the date for the CPA Bowl-A-Rama in Lethbridge February 3rd at Galaxy Bowling and Calgary February 9th at Mountain View Bowling - registration details will be sent out in the new year. Teams will be randomly selected and comprise post-secondary students and CPAs. The Faculty will provide a coach to help you prepare for the competition, and who will accompany you to Calgary for the actual event. The CPA Education Foundation will cover all of the costs related to the competition, excluding travel to Calgary. Funding for these travel costs can be applied for via the Professional Development Program. Previous years’ teams in CPA case competitions have had a lot of fun, and learned a lot! International Business Scholarships programExport Development Canada (EDC) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2017 International Business Scholarships program are now open to students pursuing business-related studies. EDC’s International Business Scholarships support Canadian university and college students in accredited bachelor degree programs at early stages of their involvement in the dynamic field of international trade; with an eye towards strengthening Canada’s future trade performance. The program offers up to 30 scholarships annually, 25 of those for outstanding students studying international business and five for those in programs that combine business with environmental and sustainability studies. This year’s recipients will each receive a $4,000 award. We would appreciate if you could promote this opportunity within your institution and encourage business students to apply.
