Can you believe it's December already! The Holiday Season is here and brings with it lots of fun things happening right here at the Hub. It is an exciting time to be a health-tech entrepreneur. There are several community resources and funding opportunities available for founders, and the bi-weekly digest is your one-stop-shop for news and information about our health-tech and life science innovators.

PulseMedica - the winner at Startup TNT's Investment Summit IV!
PulseMedica secured at least $400,000 in investment at the summit, which it largely plans to use to run its first laser treatment trial on 10 to 15 patients in Edmonton. The company is aiming to raise a seed round this year, which would allow it to start manufacturing its technology by 2023. Read more here.

Nanostics, True Angle, Naiad Lab, Atom Health, Medo.ai, Entos Pharmaceuticals, and Pulse Medica were selected for the 101 top Alberta based Health Care companies. Business Development Support (BDS) Program
The Post-Secondary Institution Partners (PSI Partners) are excited to offer the Business Development Support (BDS) program which will match you with subject-matter experts who will help move your innovation-based project or start-up closer to the market.
CanExport Innovation
Innovators from Canadian organizations may access up to $75,000 in funding to assist with research and development (R&D) for a single technology. We cover up to 75% of costs to pursue and sign collaborative R&D agreements with international partners and investors.
Alberta Jobs Now program
The Alberta Jobs Now program will provide up to $370 million to help private and non-profit businesses with job supports to get thousands of Albertans back to work. Employers can apply for funding to offset the cost of hiring and training Albertans in new or vacant positions.
WIL Voucher
Over the next three, (3) years BioAlberta will use WILIV to support full-time life science and STEM student internships to qualifying Alberta small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who successfully recruit skilled students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degree programs.
