Vale - Keith 'Cocky' Caldwell, Bulli SLSC

It is with sadness that SLSNSW learned of the passing of Bulli SLSC President and Life Member Keith 'Cocky' Caldwell. Keith was also awarded Life Membership at Branch, State and National level and provided an outstanding contribution to the Surf Life Saving movement. Surf Life Saving NSW extends our condolences to Keith’s family, friends and the Bulli SLSC community. He will be greatly missed.

The service and wake will both be held at Kembla Grange Racecourse on Friday 11 June, 2021 beginning at 1.30pm. A paddle out memorial will also be held on Saturday 12 June at Bulli Beach from 10:30am. More information is available on our website or via the Bulli SLSC Facebook page.

SLSNSW is pleased to announce the honorary teams selected for the 2020/21 Representative season. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the 2020/21 representative events were unable to proceed, however athletes have been selected on a merit basis.

Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!

With over 330 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:

  • Lifeguard Supervisors
  • Seasonal Staff
  • Casual Staff.

Returning 2020/21 lifeguards must reapply online with their user number and password. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website.

Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
