Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board | 3 April 2020 Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board - 3 April 2020Good morning everyone, We hope you are all staying safe and healthy in these unprecedented times. As you should be aware all Australians are now subject to public health directives which took effect from midnight 30 March and apply until midnight 13 April. These directives ban all non-essential travel, which includes general travel to the resorts and conducting working bees. The recent announcements have resulted in all Victorian Alpine resorts closing public BBQs, playgrounds, tennis courts and other recreational facilities. In addition, Parks Victoria has closed all campsite and campgrounds. Under these new restrictions, Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board (MHARMB) administrative staff continue to work remotely, while our operational team remains on the ground to maintain essential services for our mountain community – something we are committed to delivering throughout the COVID-19 crisis. MHARMB is reviewing and assessing the various economic stimulus package provisions that have been announced by State and Federal Government to determine the applicability of this support for Mt Hotham. We will provide further information and clarity to all relevant stakeholders when details are confirmed. Along with providing our stakeholders weekly email updates, a coronavirus (COVID-19) information page has been established on the Mt Hotham website (click here to view). All updates from MHARMB and Mount Hotham Skiing Company will be posted on the page. It also includes answers to some questions you may have. The page will be updated as we receive information and have any new details to share. To ensure you receive our updates, please ensure your contact details or those of your organisation lodged with us for receiving official MHARMB communications are up-to-date and any generic email addresses are regularly checked.
