Click here January-March NEWSLETTERGLOBAL FOOD SECURITY CLUSTERCOVID-19 UPDATE In the light of the latest COVID-19 Pandemic affecting the world, the Food Security Cluster launched a new mini site to follow up on all the latest updates of the Covid-19 Outbreak: https://sites.google.com/view/fsc-covid19/ · FSC is supporting countries on a regular basis by phone, email and Skype meetings on: current situation, impact and foreseen impact, contingency plan. · On 26th March, the gFSC hosted a webinar on Covid 19 and Food Security. The webinar helped to target specific requests including preparation of specific response plan for the COVID19. The participants included: WFP deputy Director of Emergency, the deputy global Health cluster coordinator, the FSC teams in the field and the gFSC support unit, and some global FSC SAG members, for a total of 83 participants. Very successful webinar with presentation from DRC, WoS, Cox’s Bazar, global health cluster and gFSC. · A survey was conducted targeting the FSC-cluster coordinators with response rate of 90%. The survey covered: current humanitarian coordination in-country, impact on food security (current and foreseen), impact on FS coordination (current and foreseen), guidance needed. The result of the survey will be shared soon.
