Dear stakeholder, The following information is an update on the Victorian Government's support for Victorian Alpine Businesses, announced this week. This information was provided by the Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR). Head lessee support The Government has announced that it will provide support to assist businesses in the Alpine Resorts pay their service charges to the Alpine Resort Management Boards. Head lessees who qualified for rent relief assistance will be eligible to apply for a grant equal to their service charges capped at a maximum of $20,000. Funding is based on your level of commerciality determined through the rent relief process applied to your annual service charges, and any funding received under the Business Support Fund Round 1 and Expansion will be deducted off the applicable payment cap. The program is intended to be a closed program and we anticipate DJPR will write to eligible head lessees seeking applications shortly. The following businesses will not be eligible under this program: businesses responsible for lift operations at a resort, and businesses or their related entities that are publicly listed. Other business support The Government announced yesterday a further package to provide payments of up to $25,000 to non-head lessee commercial operators across the resorts and certain businesses at Dinner Plain. The following businesses are anticipated to be eligible for funding under this package:
Owners of accommodation businesses may be eligible if they have a public on-site food and beverage venue or retail outlet. Businesses can apply even if they have received a Victorian Government Business Support Fund (BSF) grant, however any grants under BSF Round 1, Expansion and Round 3 will be deducted off the $25,000 payment cap. The following businesses will not be eligible under this program: businesses responsible for lift operations at a resort, and businesses or their related entities that are publicly listed.
