BASL EVENTS

BASL Annual Meeting 7th -9th September 2016

Venue: Manchester Central.

The BASL Annual Meeting is the highlight of the BASL calendar and the main liver meeting in the UK. This year we hope to attract in excess of 500 delegates, bringing together clinicians, nurses, scientists and all those interested in liver disease.

Eminent UK and overseas speakers converge to deliver an informative and exciting meeting over three days.

The BLTG Transplant Meeting will take place the day before at the same venue, Tuesday 6th September.

The BASL Nurse Forum Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday 8th September in parallel to the main BASL programme.

BASL School of Hepatology 2nd - 3rd July 2016. SAVE THE DATE

Venue: Nottingham University Park Campus.  

The event, including overnight accommodation, is free to attend for all BASL Medically Qualified Members in Training and restricted to 40 delegates.

HCC UK First Annual Conference 31st March - 1st April 2016

Venue: The Atrium, Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, North London.

The programme is aimed at a multidisciplinary audience including physicians, surgeons, nurses and research scientist with an interest in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

4th Optimize Workshop 12th April 2016

Venue: Barcelona, Spain.

This workshop focuses on current and emerging direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) which promise to impact greatly in the management of hepatitis C both prior to and after transplantation. Patients with cirrhosis, patients on waiting lists for liver transplantation, and liver recipients represent populations with the greatest need for effective new therapies. Certainly investigators have the possibility to submit their research in this area to major international conferences.

Royal Free and UCL Post Graduate Hepatology Course 24 - 25th May 2016

Venue: The Atrium - The Royal Free Hospital, London.

This is a curriculum based course in Hepatology for Medical/Surgical GI trainees and other healthcare professionals. It is also a comprehensive clinical update for consultants.

22nd Annual Congress of the ILTS 4 - 7th May 2016

Venue: Coex, South Korea.

The Congress brings together over 1200 professionals from over 40 countries who are dedicated to promoting and learning about the scientific advances in liver transplantation. The goal of this Congress is to broaden the education of scientists, surgeons, anaesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and organ procurement personnel in the care and treatment of liver transplant patients.

5th APASL Single Topic Conference on Hepatitis C 10th - 12th June 2016

Venue: Kaohsiung , Taiwan.

Organized by The Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) and The Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL),  the conference will focus on viral hepatitis, specifically in the field of the knowledge on Hepatitis C virus.
