NetSPI, a Minneapolis-based cybersecurity provider, said KKR & Co. invested an additional $410 million in the company, allowing Sunstone Partners to exit the business. KKR and Ten Eleven Ventures invested $90 million in NetSPI last year.
Electra, a Boulder, Colo.-based developer of a method to decarbonize iron and steelmaking through a low-temperature electrochemical process powered by renewable energy, picked up an $85 million investment from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Amazon, BHP Ventures, Temasek, S2G Ventures, Capricorn Investment Group, Lowercarbon Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Baruch Future Ventures and others.
Gourmey, a Paris-based foodtech startup whose flagship product is cultivated foie gras, secured €48 million in Series A financing led by Earlybird Venture Capital. New investors including Keen Venture Partners also contributed to the round, alongside previous backers Heartcore Capital, Point Nine Capital, Air Street Capital and Partech.
Kneron Inc., a San Diego-based developer of full-stack hardware and software products for artificial intelligence applications, closed a $48 million Series B round. Horizons Ventures led the funding, which included participation from Liteon, Adata and Foxconn.
Jiko, an Oakland, Calif.-based fintech startup, closed a $40 million Series B round. Red River West led the investment, which saw participation from Trousdale Ventures, La Maison Partners, Anthem Ventures, Upfront Ventures, Radicle Impact and others.
The Rounds, a Philadelphia-based zero-waste delivery and refill service for household items, completed a $38 million Series A round led by Redpoint Ventures and Andreesen Horowitz.
WorkSpan, a San Bernardino, Calif.-based co-sell management network, raised $30 million in Series C funding. Lead investor Insight Partners was joined by Mayfield and M12 in the round.
IriusRisk, a Spain-based automated threat modeling platform, fetched $29 million in Series B financing. Paladin Capital Group led the round, with Principal Kenneth Pentimonti joining the company’s board. SwanLaab Venture Factory, BrightPixel Capital, 360 Capital and Inveready also invested in the round.
Elpha Secure Technology Inc., a New York-based startup fusing cyber insurance with advanced security software and support, picked up $20 million in Series A funding. Lead investor Canapi Ventures was joined by Stone Point Ventures, AXIS Capital, State Farm Ventures, EOS Venture Partners and others in the round.
Revelio Labs, a New York-based workforce intelligence startup, grabbed $15 million in Series A funding led by Elephant Partners.
EcoCart, developer of an algorithm that calculates the carbon footprint of online orders, raised $14.5 million in Series A funding. Investors in the company include Fifth Wall, Capital One Ventures and Base10 Partners.
