Partner Spotlight: Increasing the American Indian Nursing Workforce
Congratulations to grantees Audrey Tluczek, PhD, RN, and Mel Freitag, PhD, from the UW-Madison School of Nursing who have received a $1.3 million federal grant to develop a system of support services
that will help admit, retain and graduate Native American nursing students. The award builds upon the objectives of a previous Partnership-funded project, Increasing Cultural Congruence among Nurses in Wisconsin that was initiated by the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council to increase the number of American Indians in the nursing workforce.
