Product Review by staff member Laura TrubeyInvisiGrip by Omnigrid: If you have ever had trouble with your rulers sliding around while you cut your fabric or trim your blocks, you should try InvisiGrip. InvisiGrip is a clear flexible plastic that you adhere to the back of your ruler. Before I tried it, I was very skeptical and was worried that the application would be much like trying to put a screen saver on a phone. My worry was for naught. The application was very simple. Instead of InvisiGrip being a sticker, it is more like a window cling. I cut it slightly smaller than my ruler, removed the backing, applied it, and then smoothed out a few air bubbles. It sticks, but is easy to remove and reapply. If I no longer want it on my ruler, I can peel it off, and because there is no adhesive, no residue remains. I was also worried that the lines on my ruler would somehow be distorted and difficult to read once I applied InvisiGrip. Yet again, no need to worry. Without careful inspection, I forgot it was even on my rulers until I realized they weren’t slipping around. This is all great, but does it actually work? Yes! With InvisiGrip, I can slide my ruler around to position it where I want it, but with a little pressure from the top, the ruler stays in place. Bottom line: I highly recommend getting yourself a roll of InvisiGrip and applying it to all your rulers that slide.
