2021 NSW Surf Boat Championships
The 2021 NSW Surf Boat Championships proudly supported by Your local club has been rescheduled for 10-11 April at Swansea Belmont SLSC.
Lifesavers to the Rescue in Flood Emergency
Since widespread flooding began to unfold with torrential rains impacting from 20 March 2021, Surf Life Saving and Australian Lifeguard Service assets, resources and personnel have been assisting other emergency services in all affected areas, bringing a range of response capabilities to bear on the one in one-hundred-year event.
Quick Thinking Lifesavers and Lifeguards Awarded NSW Rescue of the Month
Sunday 27 December 2020: Near-record crowds flock to Sydney’s beaches after a wet Christmas. Surf Life Saving Sydney Support Ski operator Kane Hughes described the day as the busiest he had experienced in a long time along the Bate Bay stretch.
SLSA Elects New National President
John Baker ESM has been elected to the position of SLSA President at this week's Annual General Meeting held at Surf Life Saving Australia’s Surf House in Bondi, Sydney. Mr Baker ESM will become the seventh president in SLSA’s 114-year history, taking over from outgoing President Graham Ford AM, who has served as President since 2010.

Auslan Lifesavers
The SLSNSW Community Education team is looking for members in the Sydney area that are fluent in Australian sign language (Auslan) who would be willing to participate in a video shoot to record our beach safety messages. Please contact Julia Kiss, Community Education Manager, for more information.
NSW Floods Funding Assistance
Disaster assistance has been activated for local government areas affected by the NSW flood emergency. More information is available on our website as well as the Rural Assistance Authority website.

2021 NSW Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2021 NSW Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards. If you know a quiet achiever within Surf Life Saving who personifies the Rotary motto of Service Above Self, make sure you nominate them before 9 May.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
