Expression of Interest – State Operations Centre Rebuild Committee RepresentativeExpressions of interest are now open for a suitably qualified member to assist SLSNSW in delivering a new State Operations Centre, able to meet the requirements of our organisation. The successful member will assist in ensuring the new standalone facility can adequately monitor the coastal environment, fulfill SLSNSW responsibilities as an emergency service and most importantly assist the volunteer membership whilst they undertake patrols and respond to emergencies. NSW Volunteer of the Year AwardsNominations are now open for the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards - one of the largest celebrations of volunteering in Australia. NSW Community Sports AwardsNominations extended until Sun 17 Jul - the Awards recognize the outstanding contributions by volunteers to community sport in NSW. Junior Activities Chair Course - Working Group 2020Expressions of interest are now open for members who have experience in education and/or delivery of Junior Activities within Surf Life Saving to join the Junior Activities Chair (JAC) Course Working Group. The successful members will provide feedback to SLSNSW about ways in which the JAC Course could be improved to best suit the learning needs of Junior Activity Chairpersons within Surf Life Saving. July 1 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of women's involvement in active surf lifesaving duties. This year NSW Branches are hosting their Awards of Excellence ceremonies online! Get your nominations in and join the celebrations.

Grants & Fundraising Important Envirobank UpdateDue to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all Envirobank scheduled collections have been temporarily suspended until further notice. Further updates will be provided in due course. Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
