Alzheimer Symphony comes home

Following a sell-out Hobart season, Ten Days and Tasmania Performs are proud to bring Alzheimer Symphony to Bruny Island and Huonville. Performed by acclaimed artist Justus Neumann, this poignant work is punctuated by moments of humour that will take you on a remarkable journey. Do you hear the call of the wild?

This amazing world exclusive is a marriage of Western sounds and Eastern influences. The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra joins a select syndicate of international orchestras to perform Tan Dun’s Wolf Totem. This extraordinary work is composed by Chinese-born Tan Dun, who rose to prominence with his music score to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Staged in Hobart’s Federation Concert Hall, with full orchestra‚Ķthis will truly be a breathtaking performance.



Tasmanian Guitar Trio touchdown in Kettering

Performing on classical and flamenco guitars, the Tasmanian Guitar Trio is directed by ARIA Award Winner Gareth Koch and features the versatile talents of Darcy O’Malley, an accomplished classical trumpeter and blues guitarist, and Oliver Marshall, an electric guitarist and bassist within the contemporary music genre. Performing an eclectic repertoire of works that spans from J.S. Bach to James Reyne, the Tasmanian Guitar Trio will enthral and delight you.



Stage meets screen in the terrifying Dementia 13

Live actors, musicians and a sound artist bring cult cinema to life in a fusion of performance and film that will have audiences screaming in fear and shrieking with laughter! Before The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, there was Dementia 13, Francis Ford Coppola’s 1963 gothic horror debut. In this thrilling experience, New Zealand’s Live Live Cinema bring every creeping footstep and murderous axe blow to life as the film screens above them. This is better than the movies, this is cinema in 4-D!



Holy and hilarious theatre with The Cardinals

It’s evangelical mayhem on stage as three cardinals on tour with a puppet show find themselves strangely without puppets. They flounder their way through well-known Bible stories, as wild off-stage antics reveal a tale that is as funny as it is touching. The Cardinals is a thought-provoking, witty and entertaining work of biblical proportions from one of the world’s most innovative theatre companies.



Roll up for family fun at the Spiegeltent

Come out and play! Ten Days has your family entertainment covered at the amazing Spiegeltent on Hobart’s waterfront. Expect the unexpected, when music maker extraordinaire Linsey Pollak goes Live and Loopy on 28 March in a hilarious musical event. Kaput features the larger-than-life buffoonery of Circus Oz superstar Tom Flanagan in a brilliant family show that is full of slapstick, acrobatics and total silliness. Be swept up on 29 March in the mayhem of this performance as one man’s life is flipped upside-down in a highly skilled, hilariously funny and touching show.
