Principal's Message - Meaghan Cook This year has taught us the value of reflection, evaluation and adjustment and I must congratulate our students, teachers and our parents for working closely with the campus to implement COVID-19 changes, keeping connected through the parent portal, our newsletters, Facebook and our website. Wear It Purple Day A big thank you to staff and students who have been able to find some purple to wear today. 'Wear It Purple Day' celebrates its 10th anniversary today, striving to foster supportive, safe empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people. Tell Them from me Student Survey Parent FAQ document for the student survey: Hastings Secondary School, Port Macquarie Campus is delighted this term, that our school like many other public schools in the state, will participate in a Department of Education initiative: the Tell Them From Me student feedback survey. The survey measures factors that are known to affect academic achievement and other student outcomes. The focus of the NSW-wide survey is on student wellbeing, engagement and effective teaching practices. Recognising our 'Team' Uniform, Week 6 Well done to Will Noble (Year 7) and Jessica Palmer (Year 8) who received this week's award for consistently wearing full school uniform, pictured with the Connect Class teacher Ms Kneipp Girls' and Boys' School Trackpants are now available Girls and boys school trackpants have arrived at Port Macquarie Campus. They are available from the front office at a cost of $40.00 a pair. Parent-Teacher Conferences Parent-teacher interviews provide an important opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teachers. This year as a result of COVID-19 we will be asking parents to provide an expression of interest to request a phone interview with your child's teachers rather than face-to-face parent/teacher conference. The process will happen exactly the same way as face-to-face but over the phone. Each interview is 5 minutes. Forms need to be completed by Sunday 30 August COAL Scores have been forwarded to parents COAL scores have recently been collected.
