Medical Education Research Q & A On April 13, 2019, department faculty member Shelley Ross, PhD, was named President Elect of the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME). CAME’s Mission is “to promote, and advance and recognize excellence across the continuum of medical education in Canada.” We spoke to Shelley about how she became interested in medical education research, the change she has seen with her work in the department, and the future of medical education research in Canada. How long have you been with the Department? I started on July 1, 2008 – six weeks after I completed my PhD at the University of Victoria.
Thank You! We would like to thank the research resident representatives, Drs. Hana Yu, Amol Bhargava and David Pinzon for helping to organize a great resident Family Medicine Research Day this year! They did an excellent job emceeing the event, organizing refreshments, breakfast as well as helping clean up afterwards! Research day would not have been such a success without the involvement of these three individuals!
