In 1968, Paul assisted the then Chief Inspector with drafting the Strathfield Planning Scheme Ordinance, the first of its kind. Paul was then appointed as Chief Inspector himself, a position he held for 18 years and at the time was the youngest Chief Inspector in the metropolitan area. Paul also drafted a number of Council Codes and was the Council representative on the Consultative Committee, Occupational Health and Safety Committee and Local Government Recycling Committee. Whilst Paul hangs up his hat as Council’s Development and Compliance Officer, his fellow colleagues take theirs off in recognition of his dedication and hard work.
