This unique meeting will offer plenty of interaction and discussion as well as a unique opportunity to foster new and lasting collaborative projects across all areas of hepatology research.

Smoking Drinking and Drug Use Survey Among Young People in England (SDD): Consultation

The Health and Social Care Information Centre has launched a consultation to determine what information on smoking, drinking and drug use among young people is collected in the future, and how it is reported to ensure that the survey continues to be relevant and meet user needs. Empowering communities: An interactive tobacco and alcohol outlet density webmap for Scotland

A new website created in partnership with Alcohol Focus Scotland and Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) Scotland has been launched. This allows users to map alcohol and tobacco outlet density and related health outcomes for neighbourhoods across Scotland. The data shows that neighbourhoods with the highest alcohol outlet density have double the alcohol-related death rate of those with the lowest densities.

The UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies (UKCTAS) is running its second annual Alcohol Policy in Practice course in September 2015. The course offers an opportunity to learn about issues in alcohol policy and practice, and is a chance to network with leading academics and policy-makers in the field.

ONS plan to review the list of causes of death considered avoidable, along with the associated age limits, every three years, and are now seeking your views to assist with this process.
