The annual Lockheed Martin
Armed Forces Bowl will be played in Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, officials announced today. The 13th edition of the postseason college football bowl game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET) from Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of TCU and will be aired by ESPN. This year’s Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl will feature a team from the
Mountain West Conference
versus a team from the
Big Ten Conference. The annual game, played in honor of the armed forces of the United States, is the only collegiate football bowl game that has hosted all three U.S. Military Academy football teams. The U.S. Military Academy (2010), the U.S. Air Force Academy (2007-2009, 2012) and the U.S. Naval Academy (2013) have all previously participated in the bowl. “Fort Worth is a great college football town and we know our community will really enjoy an afternoon kickoff to honor our armed forces past and present,” said
Brant Ringler, Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl executive director. “We always enjoy hosting the Mountain West Conference and look forward to having the Big Ten Conference in our game for the first time ever.”
