Upcoming EventsEnviroschools Expo – 1 March Bay of Plenty Regional Council will be hosting an Enviroschools Expo at The Orchard in Te Puke on March 1st. This fun and interactive event is a chance for schools and environmental organisations early learning centres to come together. Schools will have the opportunity to participate in a range of fantastic activities to explore the Enviroschools theme areas, network with environmental organisations and share their achievements from the past year. Envirohub is seeking expressions of interest from The Regional Network to attend a First Aid Course next April. If you would like to be a part of this training event, please email admin@envirohub.org.nz Nominate your Seaweek 2017 Ocean Champion Visit the Seaweek website at seaweek.org.nz to nominate your “Ocean Champion” and celebrate all those individuals, groups and organizations who work so hard to look after our seas and the marine life that lives in them. The winner will be announced during Seaweek 2017 and will receive a prize package equivalent to at least $500 to support their work donated by the New Zealand Coastal Society. Cycle Safety Workshop Kuirau Park, Corner of Ranolf St & Lake Rd, Rotorua, Bay of Plenty - Tuesday 10 January 2017 10:30am – 11:30am Pedal along to a fun, free cycle safety workshop run by Hugh Bootten and Rotorua Library at Kuirau Park. Youth Jam 16-18 May Taiohi-Taiao Youth Jam is a free event for secondary students from across the Bay of Plenty to come together to learn about environmental issues and foster their leadership skills though awesome activities, field trips and networking with other students. The 2017 event will be held in May in Rotorua and the theme is Pests. We have a pretty awesome programme shaping up! Full info and an invitation will be sent to schools in Term 1.
