A Level Results Day - 2018A message from the Head...I am absolutely thrilled to announce another set of excellent A Level results for the students at Gateways School! 18% of all examinations were graded at A* level with 59% graded at A* or A level. For a non-selective school this is a truly outstanding achievement. In comparison, the national figures sit at just 8% and 26% of all papers being graded at these levels. We once again enjoy a 100% pass rate A*-E and 95% of our students have gained places at their 1st or 2nd choice university. Our 'Value Added' remains excellent with every single examination being awarded 1 grade higher than baseline testing suggests the candidates would otherwise achieve. That means that a BBB ability candidate actually achieves AAA because of what we do here at Gateways. Small class sizes, individual attention, in-depth knowledge of each and every pupil - these are our keys to success. Well done to everyone - students, teachers and parents - you have all played your part in this success. - Dr Tracy Johnson - Individual news...Shuwei Zhang who joined Gateways in Year 11 from China, achieved an amazing A* in French and 2 As in Biology and Maths.
