By Kim S. Nash

Hello. The U.S. is stepping up its intelligence-gathering efforts regarding Greenland, drawing America’s spying apparatus into President Trump’s campaign to take over the island, according to people familiar with the effort.

Medical-tech company Masimo disclosed disruptions in manufacturing, order fulfillment and shipping related to unauthorized activity on its network. Masimo detected the incident April 27 and has been working to restore normal operations, the company said Tuesday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Masimo said its cloud-based systems weren't affected.
  • Separately, Masimo said Tuesday it is getting out of a failed foray into the consumer-audio business with a deal to sell the unit for about $350 million to Harman International, a Samsung Electronics subsidiary.

With critical infrastructure continuously under threat, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency on Tuesday put out more guidance on securing operational technology systems. The guide includes several detailed resources. The main points boil down to:

1. Remove OT connections to the public internet.

2. Change default passwords immediately and use strong, unique passwords.

3. Secure remote access to OT networks.

4. Segment IT and OT networks.

5. Practice and maintain the ability to operate OT systems manually.

Datadog, a cloud-security provider, raised its full-year earnings forecast, citing a surge in the adoption of AI, whose heavy processing needs often result in companies buying more cloud computing power. Datadog put fiscal 2025 revenue at $3.22 million to $3.24 million, up from $3.18 million to $3.2 million. (Reuters)

San Francisco-based Doppel raised $35 million in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing the total amount raised to $54.4 million. Doppel uses AI to help companies guard against social-engineering attacks.
