Surf Club Facility Grants are Now Open
Applications are now open for 2020 NSW Surf Club Facility Program grants announced by Deputy Premier of NSW, John Barilaro and Acting Minister for Sport, Geoff Lee, this week.

It has been a huge month for Lifesavers with Pride. They've recently announced a deal with ACON Health and after 15 years' participation in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, they’ve just been announced as the “Principal Float” in Saturday’s event.

Aussie Lifesavers Working with Thai Lifeguards
A team of 42 Australian Surf Life Saving trainers recently travelled to Phuket in Thailand to run lifeguard, junior lifesaver and water safety training programs for local lifeguards and students.

Sharkskin IRB Series is Back!
Venues and dates have now been locked in for the 2020 Sharkskin NSW IRB Premiership rounds and the NSW Championship. We are delighted to announce that Sharkskin has extended its partnership with us for another three years!
Sharkskin has contributed enormously to the success of these events over the last two years and we are excited to be building momentum for this great race series. Along with backing the IRB series, Sharkskin continues to offer a 25% discount to SLSNSW members on their quality products which can be accessed via the SLSA Members Area. To help celebrate the 40th anniversary of women as active surf lifesavers, we are calling for stories, photos and video of trailblazing women in the surf lifesaving movement. July 1 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of women's involvement in active surf lifesaving duties.

Grants & Fundraising
Mental Health First Aid Course
One in five Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. The Australian Lifesaving Academy NSW is now delivering the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) – Standard 2 Day Course as authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, delivered by instructors who are currently accredited by MHFA Australia. The course will equip participants with the skills necessary to help someone they may be concerned about. For more information please contact the Australian Lifesaving Academy NSW on 1300 766 257.
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
Surf Life Saving Foundation
The SLSF carry out weekly raffle ticket sales at shopping centres and a monthly giving program (face-to-face door knocking) called Guardians Of The Surf. A full list of the current face-to-face door knocking locations can be downloaded from our website.
