This year we officially begin using the Helen Mayo Buildings by their new names - as you will see reflected in timetables and room booking systems. The buildings have been named after esteemed medicine graduate, Dr Helen Mayo, who made a significant impact in health, research and education in South Australia. Adelaide Microscopy moved back into their refurbished premises in Helen Mayo North on Tuesday 19 December 2017, and a number of other moves are scheduled over the coming months as we now move into phase 2 of the relocations. New name official for Anatomy and Pathology MuseumThe Anatomy and Pathology Museum has also had its name change approved by the University Council. Now called The Vernon-Roberts Museum, by which we honour Professor Barrie Vernon-Roberts AO, who had a long and illustrious career in diagnostic pathology, teaching and research in South Australia. The Early Development Group has temporarily relocated to level 4 HMSouth while the level 2 office spaces are being refurbished. The refurbished space will be ready for them to move back into in mid-April 2018. Storage AuditTo ensure everyone will ‘fit’ within the new Frome Road Precinct, Carroll DeVizio and Marita Broberg have begun an audit of current storage across existing sites. They’ll be making their way around the various buildings over the next couple of weeks, logging existing storage use and checking with teams what they need to keep versus what could be stored offsite or disposed of. Storage space in the Frome Road Precinct is limited - in line with the University's current space guidelines - so it’s important to review your current work environment and make sure you only store essential material in your work
area. If you have questions about what and how to store, including access to archival storage, please contact Carroll or Marita.
