As you are all aware Virtue have been looking for a premises of our our for some time now. We have been given an amazing opportunity to operate from a local dedicated and purpose built unit in the RG30 area. We have been offered a unique and exciting opportunity: the freedom to design our own Virtue home which is phenomenal. In the design we are hoping to include key areas to meet all our families needs. A safe and fun environment for the amazing Virtue gymnasts, a dedicated training area for our dedicated coaching team and a communal area for our lovely parents. We have been busy for the past few months putting the project together and the Facility Development Partner for British Gymnastics, Rob Hardy, has been complimentary of the project, which is very positive. There will be a need to apply for planning permission to West Berkshire Council and an application will be submitted ASAP. There are a number of units already on the proposed site for other local businesses. With this in mind and the full support of British Gymnastics behind us, we feel we have an extremely strong chance of being successful when applying for planning permission. So far we have received 50 support statements - which is great! We will need a minimum of 200 though so if you have not yet submitted yours we would really appreciate it if you could find the time to submit one. This is a very positive step for our club and our Virtue family members - we are very grateful to have the full backing of British Gymnastics and with your help we hope to make this dream home a reality for all to enjoy.
