The mission of the Grantmakers for Education (GFE) PSA2 Impact Group is to deepen GFE member learning and facilitate collaboration; to inspire and take collective action at scale; and to achieve an impact that improves postsecondary access and attainment for students. Recap: GFE Annual Conference Events and Sessions The PSA2 Impact Group hosted opportunities to network and collaborate on postsecondary access and attainment issues and success strategies during the Grantmakers for Education annual conference this October in San Diego. A PSA2 networking dinner provided networking opportunities and discussion of “Effective Strategies for Being a Funder in the Postsecondary Space.” This year’s PSA2 reception featured Dr. Bridgett Burns who shared the successes of 11 public research universities of the University Innovation Alliance. Dr. Burns highlighted strategies that are being used to close the achievement gaps and improve the outcomes for all students, especially those from low-income and underserved backgrounds. PSA2 also hosted two roundtable discussions at Grantmakers Exchange breakfast; one explored “Postsecondary Access and Attainment Statewide Strategies” and the second discussion highlighted the structure, impact and lessons learned from “Emergency Aid Programs.” In addition, several breakout sessions focused on postsecondary access and attainment.
