Sweeping the Streets Did you know leaf litter can clog stormwater drains and pollute waterways? An effective way to stop this is by sweeping your gutters and driveways and ensuring you place leaves in your green bin. Causing leaf litter to enter waterways can attract a fine of up to $4,000. Notification of Public Hearing A public hearing regarding the reclassification of the land at No 1 Loftus Street, Homebush from “community” to “operational” land will be held on Wednesday 3 July 2019, 6pm-7pm at Strathfield Library. When: 6:30pm-8:30pm Community NewsStrathfield Obstetrician, gynaecologist awarded Medal of the Order of Australia Dr Quang Phu Ho has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his outstanding contribution to the lives of others. Dr Ho works with expectant mothers and their families, couples struggling with fertility and teaches junior medical doctors. He draws inspiration from the motto “by helping other people you will find happiness”. Dr Ho is a Strathfield resident and Council congratulates him on this momentous achievement.
