Food Safety Spotlight

Congratulations to Min Chung and his team at Food World on their successful food safety and hygiene inspection. Strathfield Council is pleased to give them a 4-star Scores on Doors rating! Min has attended Council’s quarterly Food Safety Seminars, improving skills and knowledge of food handlers within the food retail businesses across the LGA.

There’s Still Time to Register!

Runners, get race ready! The Cooks River Fun Run is fast approaching! If you haven’t registered yet, online entries will remain open until 8am on Sunday 23 June. Featuring a 5km run, 5km walk, 10km run and a 2km kids run from Freshwater Park to Ford Park, it’s a great way to get your fitness levels up and support Bowel Cancer Australia.

Strathfield Obstetrician, gynaecologist awarded Medal of the Order of Australia

Dr Quang Phu Ho has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his outstanding contribution to the lives of others. Dr Ho works with expectant mothers and their families, couples struggling with fertility and teaches junior medical doctors. He draws inspiration from the motto “by helping other people you will find happiness”.

Dr Ho is a Strathfield resident and Council congratulates him on this momentous achievement.
