What is Celestron's bestselling computerised telescope? The Celestron NexStar 4SE continues a long tradition BINTEL have been selling Celestron computerised "GOTO" telescopes since they were introduced in the late 1990s. Despite looking somewhat similar to the original Celestron NexStar telescopes, the current crop of Celestron NexStar SE and Evolution telescopes have been updated with new handsets, app support, Wi-Fi capabilities and more. The optical tubes are not radically different however- a perfect example of how Celestron's "classic" telescope design continuing to be relevant even today. An early Celestron Nexstar 5 as it these telescopes were called in the 1990s The Celestron 4SE is extremely popular and there's some good reasons for this! First of all, they are excellent value. For $1,149 the 4SE offers a fully computerised GOTO mount, hand controller, tripod with built-in wedge, eyepiece, accessories and a the 4" Maksutov-Cassegrain or Mak telescope itself. This a large enough for bright and detailed views of the rings of the Moon Saturn, Jupiter, the Orion Nebula and a vast number of other deep-sky wonders, while still being compact enough to easily carry around and transport. The 4SE will automatically point and then track any of these astro objects. BINTEL also has a stack of upgrades for the Celestron NexStar 4SE. You can add a Wi-Fi adaptor to allow control via your phone, iPad or PC. We stock a wide range of add on eyepieces and filters. Plus it's easy to attach your phone or even Canon, Nikon or even Sony camera for taking photos. We'd consider the Celestron NexStar 4SE an ideal telescope for "serious beginners" or more experienced observers after a portable yet powerful telescope. Meade 90mm telescope. Just $399 - ideal choice for the Moon and Jupiter too!Another common type of question we receive at BINTEL - "I want to look at the craters on the Moon and maybe some of the planets, star cluster and nebulae. I'm also on a tight budget." We've been seeing a lot of customers who are very happy with their Meade Polaris 90mm Refractor telescopes/ A bigger telescope means you see more. The 90mm main lens is a big upgrade from the 70mm diameter lens on many other beginner's telescopes. (The diameter of the front lens or main mirror is a key indicator for telescope performance.) 70mm telescopes collect about 100 times more light than your eyes. The larger 90mm like this Meade telescope collects more than 160 time as much light as your eyes. This 60% increase in light gathering directly translates into brighter, sharper views of astro objects as well as being able to see things that are too faint to be seen in the smaller telescope. The Meade Polaris 90mm is a completely manual telescope with no electric controls. It comes with a tripod and a decent range of accessories. It's quite easy to set up and light enough to be easily carried around when assembled. Highly recommended by BINTEL. Telescope bags.
