No images? Click here Dear valued staff member, I would like to say thank you. In this unprecedented time, I am amazed and uplifted by your dedication to continue to deliver our services. It is not an easy task to do at even the best of times. Therefore, I appreciate how you are working through this under unique circumstances. We have a commitment and a privilege to care for some of the most vulnerable in our communities. We will continue to provide care to our clients. It is important that we stay positive while continuing to be vigilant. I encourage you all to look after yourselves and to seek the help that you need. If you notice that one of your colleagues is feeling down, anxious or frustrated, see if there is something small that you can do to brighten their day. Yes, we should be practicing social distancing but there are ways that we can still support each other. Now is not the time to ignore our values of Hospitality, Healing, Stewardship and Respect. In fact, our values and our ethos of ‘Being for others’ has never been more important. Yesterday, you would have received information from David Izzard, National Director Human Resources. The email covered information on how Calvary is adapting to and managing COVID-19. Some of the topics mentioned include:
If you did not receive this email or if you have questions, you can visit Calvary Connect. There, you can also find a COVID-19 Information page. I suggest that you check Calvary Connect regularly for the latest information. I also encourage you to ask any questions that you may have with your manager. I want to reassure you that we are working on new procedures, services and technology to ensure that Calvary adapts to the changing environment. If you have any suggestions for how we can manage this better or how we can improve our services, please do not hesitate to send me your ideas. The Employee Assistance Program is also available and offers free and confidential counselling and support to all staff. In the meantime, I hope that you and your loved ones stay safe, healthy and support each other. This will enable us to continue to serve our clients who need our help. Kind regards, Julie Maya Director of Operations - Community Care |
