Get Up On Your Feet with Food & Jazz!
Strathfield Food & Jazz Festival is on this weekend! Slip on your spring attire, slop on some sunscreen and slap on your hat for a flavourful day! Get a close-up view of Justine Schofield and Sashi Cheliah heating up the Demo Kitchen, bring your mini chefs to Foost for a fun cooking class, and stroll through the appetising food stalls to the rhythm and beat of contemporary jazz!

Citizen of the Year Awards

Christmas Carols at Bressington Park!
Save the date! Join us on Saturday 8 December to mark the official opening of Bressington Park as we celebrate Christmas Carols! The festive day will feature musical performances, carols, children’s entertainment, food stalls, a family Christmas movie and fireworks!
Graffiti Removal Day
Well done to the volunteers who joined forces with Council for this year’s Graffiti Removal Day across 2 site locations on Sunday 21 October. Over $3,500 worth of work to the local community was made in just one day!
Additional Carpark Spaces in Strathfield CBD
Strathfield Council is pleased to announce the opening of 55 parking spots in Strathfield CBD, 20-34 Albert Road. The car park will be opened to the public for free every day from 6am until midnight with free 2-hour parking at all times.
Illegal Tree Pruning
Perpetrators of illegal tree works are liable to prosecution as are those (the unsuspecting property owners) allowing such works to occur. The maximum penalty in the Land and Environment Court of NSW is $1.1. million plus orders, for each tree or offence. Residents are requested to report unidentified tree loping contractors proposing unauthorised tree works, and their vehicle registration numbers, to Council.

BreastScreen NSW in Homebush West
Mayor Gulian Vaccari, his wife Simone, and Cr Stephanie Kokkolis visited the BreastScreen van in Homebush West this week. Mayor Vaccari encouraged residents to be screened, saying "early detection is vital for surviving breast cancer. Council fully supports the BreastScreen NSW initiative."

Throwback Thursday
Catholic Institute of Sydney/Dill Macky Home Strathfield
The building occupied by the Catholic Institute of Sydney located at 99 Albert Road, Strathfield has had a number of significant institutional uses. In 1921, the site was acquired by the Australian Protestant Orphan Society, which was established by the late Rev. W M Dill Macky.

Join Marie Bashir Public School for their inaugural Family Fun Fair!
