May/June
|
|
It’s easy to love Spruce Point on a hot summer day in August. Brilliant sunshine, ocean breezes, sparkling water and full immersion in the languorous joy of being ‘away from it all.’
But do you know the mysteries of May and June on the midcoast? The night enveloped in grey velvet fog, where the silence breaks with the sound of the fog horn on Burnt Island. A cozy bar where local wine and craft beer flows. Soft greens in leaf and lawn, still fresh with the early morning dew. Backroads lined with daisies and hand-written signs for fresh strawberries.
We love the “secret season” here in the Boothbay Region, when weather is more changeable and the place is made authentic through all the senses. Come Memorial Day, we know there’s a month ahead for sharing the inn-siders’ best places to explore, inside and out – whatever the mood of the day. Follow the links to discover your bliss (we won’t tell anyone about your finds).
Tip-toe through the tulips of a Boothbay Harbor value season: Book three nights, Sundays through Thursdays May 20 through June 21, 2018 and receive two complimentary passes to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
