Greetings from the Dean's Office!Today is Election Day, please remember to vote and have your voice heard! Last month, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences was honored to partner with the Fish Interfaith Center to host a lecture by Reverend Dr. William Barber who emphasized that our democracy only works when citizens vote. “We don’t know what this democracy can do, because we have never seen 75 or 80 percent participation,” he noted (read more about his lecture below). This issue of We are Wilkinson also commemorates Veterans Day, November 11th, with stories highlighting how our faculty are using courses, scholarship, fiction, and film to document the experiences of those who have served in the armed forces. Finally, we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving later in the month. We are Wilkinson remains thankful for our students, staff, faculty, parents, and alumni who remind us on a daily basis why we are the “heart and soul” of Chapman University.
