There and back again There and back again

On 1 July 964 service staff – gardeners, cleaners, security guards and caterers − officially became part of UCT. It’s been a long journey for many who were previously outsourced to contract companies servicing the university. But now it’s time to welcome them back. These are their stories.

Recent UCT graduate and member of the Cape Town Opera Studio Noluvuyiso Mpofu placed second in the 35th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, with her favourite aria, È Strano…Ah, Fors'è Lui…Sempre from La Traviata.
