Dear Eagles,

October 19th marks the halfway point in the semester! As midterms set in, I want to remind you to take care of yourself (see some great opportunities below) and celebrate your accomplishments by joining us for cider donuts tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the 4th Floor Maloney Hall reception area.

As always, there are many things happening on the Heights this week. The Career Center is sponsoring Health Professions Week, RA information sessions are taking place, and the Theater Department presents Oil. And come next weekend, don't forget about Baldwin's Backyard and the Hypnotist Show sponsored by CAB!

Sincerely,

Dr. Shawna Cooper-Gibson
Vice President for Student Affairs

BC Arts

The Boston College Theater Department presents Oil by Ella Hickson
Time travel through the “Age of Oil” with May, a woman who marvels at the glow of a kerosene lantern in 1889, and journeys into the future to work as a waitress in British occupied Iran in 1908; then, as an oil executive in 1970’s London; a former Member of Parliament in the desert outside Kirkuk in 2021; and on to 2051, where she lives in a world where oil is now scarce. Will we deplete this ancient resource in 200 years?
Thursday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m.
