2018 National Awards for Local Government

Strathfield Council received a highly commended for Excellence in Road Safety at the 2018 National Awards for Local Government. This award is in recognition of recent efforts and initiatives implemented throughout the year, aimed at improving road safety within our local community.

Cooke Park Amenities Building

Works on a new amenities building at Cooke Park has commenced, which will include a café, change-rooms, umpires room, toilets and storage. This recent development will service the local community and sporting groups.

Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code

The Department of Planning & Environment has issued Strathfield Council with a deferral to the commencement of the Low Rise Medium Density Housing. This means applicants will not be able to lodge a complying development application for dual occupancies, manor houses or terraces until 1 July 2019.

Healthy Bowel and Bladder for All

The Continence Foundation of Australia and Strathfield Council have organised the Healthy Bowel and Bladder for All information session to shed light on healthy habits, risk factors and where to get help.
